How do I create a FinnScreen account?
Visit finnscreen.fi/login and click "Start your 14-day free trial". Enter your email and create a password — no credit card required. You'll be taken straight to your dashboard.
How long does it take to get my first screen live?
Most customers have their first screen displaying content within 30 minutes. Step 1: install the FinnScreen app on your Android TV device. Step 2: pair it with your account using the 6-digit code shown on screen. Step 3: upload your content and publish. That's it.
Do I need any technical skills to use FinnScreen?
No. If you can send an email, you can manage FinnScreen. The dashboard is designed for business owners and their staff — not IT departments. Everything is labelled clearly and guided with tooltips.
Can I try FinnScreen before paying?
Yes — every new account gets a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial you can choose a plan or let it expire with no charge.
Content & Design
What file types can I upload?
FinnScreen supports images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), videos (MP4, MOV, WebM), and PDFs. Maximum file size is 500 MB per file. We recommend MP4 (H.264) for best compatibility across all Android TV devices.
Is there a drag-and-drop designer?
Yes. The FinnScreen Designer lets you build layouts from scratch or choose from 100+ templates. Drag images, text, logos, and widgets onto the canvas. No design experience needed.
Can I display live data like weather or news?
Yes. The designer includes live widgets for weather, date/time, RSS news feeds, and social media. Simply drag the widget onto your layout and configure the source.
What screen resolution should I design for?
FinnScreen scales content automatically to fit any screen. For best results, design at 1920×1080 (Full HD landscape) or 1080×1920 (portrait). The designer lets you choose the aspect ratio before you start.
Scheduling
How does scheduling work?
In the Schedule section of your dashboard, you assign content to specific time slots on specific screens. You can set one-off dates or recurring rules (daily, weekdays, weekends, or custom days). Content plays automatically — no manual intervention needed.
Can I show different content at different times of day?
Yes — this is called dayparting. For example, show a breakfast menu from 07:00–11:00, a lunch menu from 11:00–15:00, and promotional content in the evening. Each time slot can have different content on the same screen.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Screens continue playing the last published content — they never go blank. When connectivity returns, FinnScreen automatically syncs any new content or schedule changes. Offline resilience is built in for all devices.
Can I schedule content for multiple screens at once?
Yes. When creating a schedule, you can target individual screens, screen groups, or all screens at once. This is especially useful if you manage multiple locations and need to push the same campaign everywhere simultaneously.

Which devices does FinnScreen work on?
FinnScreen works on any Android TV device (Android 8.0+), including the Strong SRT 41 media player, Android TV boxes, smart TVs with Android TV OS, and Android tablets. See the full list on our Android & TV page.
How do I pair my device with my account?
Install the FinnScreen app from the Google Play Store on your Android TV device. Open the app — it will display a 6-digit pairing code on screen. Enter this code in your FinnScreen dashboard under Screens → Add Screen. The device is paired instantly.
Will FinnScreen start automatically when the TV turns on?
Yes. Once installed, the FinnScreen app launches automatically on boot. You can also configure the TV to turn on/off on a schedule using the built-in timer on most Android TV devices, so the screen is never on when the business is closed.
Can I manage a screen remotely if I can't visit the location?
Yes — that's the whole point. You can update content, change schedules, and monitor screen status from anywhere in the world via the FinnScreen web dashboard. No on-site visits needed after the initial setup.
Billing & Plans
What plans are available?
FinnScreen offers a Starter plan (1 screen), a Pro plan (up to 10 screens), and an Enterprise plan (unlimited screens with dedicated support). See full details and pricing at finnscreen.fi/#pricing.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of your dashboard. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer invoicing for businesses?
Yes. Enterprise plan customers can request invoice-based billing. Contact us at hello@finnscreen.fi to set this up. We issue invoices in euros with Finnish VAT.
Is VAT included in the listed prices?
Prices shown on the website are exclusive of VAT. Finnish VAT (25.5%) is added at checkout for customers based in Finland. Business customers with a valid VAT number can apply for VAT-exempt billing.
